The material is fed via a bar feeder capable of handling bars up to 100 mm in diameter and 3000 mm in length, for both round and shaped stock. The rotary table acts as a positioning axis, allowing the four side faces to be machined using the vertical milling spindle. The fifth face is machined horizontally using the swivel head. The part is then cut, rotated 180°, and the sixth face is machined using the tilting head as well. Finished parts are automatically removed via a handling system and deposited into a parts storage area.
