The machine is equipped with a pneumatically extendable workpiece stop on each side of the pendulum, as well as two separately controllable pneumatic lifters. These lifters allow long workpieces to be placed in an inclined position after machining (to drain water from the profiles) in a first step and removed from the clamps in a second step for ergonomic handling. Note on the machine’s condition: The machine was completely overhauled by the manufacturer Chiron in 2013. The last spindle change was performed in March 2021 (approx. 7,300 spindle hours). The machine has undergone annual maintenance, repairs, and inspections by the manufacturer in accordance with the latest technical standards (preventive maintenance). The last inspection was performed in January 2024. There are currently no known defects in the machine. The machining process using the KOHN linear clamping system can be viewed on the new machine of identical construction (manufactured in 2023).
