The process uses a high-pressure water jet directed from below upwards; this jet, acting against the bottom properly secured to a set of tampers, allows deformation of the material to achieve the desired bottom depth. A series of hydraulic pistons hold the tampers fixed to the bottom, developing a total load of about 1,500 tons, and guaranteeing, through a system of special protections, safety against high-pressure fluid leakage.
