The F3A-COMPACT machine has been designed and built to perform milling of contours, drilling, and sectioning of light alloys and plastic materials in sheets, and occasionally easily machinable metallic materials. The most common materials the machine can process are: aluminum, bronze, brass, polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, arnite, teflon, rigid and expanded PVC, plexiglass, lexan, bakelite, wood, and similar materials. Processing is done using tools such as milling cutters and drill bits, following automatic cycles that use numerical control to assist in programming work programs. The system uses a vacuum pump to hold the piece on the worktable through vacuum controlled by appropriate sensors.
